Shape & Size

The Waizowl OGM Cloud XS is a small and symmetrical mouse measuring 117 x 63 x 36mm. It shares the same shape as the original OGM Cloud but is noticeably smaller. It has a mostly flat front flare, mostly flat sides, and a centered hump, making it comfortable and versatile for most grip styles if you have small hands. For medium and larger hands, the mouse is better suited for fingertip grip, though claw grip could work for medium-sized hands as well.

Coating & Grip-tape

The coating on the Waizowl OGM Cloud XS feels nice and smooth, matching many top-tier gaming mice currently available. However, it doesn't quite reach the quality of coatings from brands like Zowie, Vaxee, and Endgame Gear.

If you need more grip, the mouse comes with grip-tapes for the main buttons, sides, and two strips for the back.

Build Quality

The build quality of the Waizowl OGM Cloud XS is solid. It only slightly creaks under extreme pressure, but this doesn't happen during normal use. The top and sides are sturdy, though there's a minor flex if pressure is applied to the bottom. Again, this isn't noticeable during regular gaming sessions.

Weight & Feet/Skates

Weighing just 45 grams, the Waizowl OGM Cloud XS is very lightweight. While there are lighter mice available, even while being larger, it still feels easy to move around and pick up.

The mouse doesn't have skates pre-installed, but includes three different sets: one set of two large skates, one set of four medium-sized skates, and ten dot skates. I personally like this approach because it lets you choose your favorite set right away instead of removing pre-installed skates. The skates glide smoothly with minimal break-in required.

Buttons & Scroll Wheel

The main buttons on the Waizowl OGM Cloud XS use RAESHA Optical Switches. They're decent but lack a bit in tactility. They're easy to click rapidly, which is good for gaming, though I prefer switches with a more tactile click, such as those on the Teevolution Terra.

The main buttons have almost no pre- or post-travel and feel sturdy without wobbling.

The side buttons use Kailh Blue Shell Green Dot optical switches and have slight pre- and post-travel. It's not noticeable during regular use, and they don't wobble.

The scroll wheel uses a TTC Silver encoder, which requires very little force to scroll. It's perfect for games that need frequent scrolling. Pressing the wheel requires moderate force.

Sensor & Performance

The Waizowl OGM Cloud XS features the PAW3950 sensor, capable of an 8000Hz polling rate with the included dongle, no additional purchases needed. The sensor supports up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration.

Conclusion

The Waizowl OGM Cloud XS is an excellent mouse for its small size and safe shape. It's ideal for users with smaller hands who prefer claw or palm grips. Medium and large-handed users will find it works best for fingertip grip. With my hand size (20.5 x 10.5cm), it felt slightly too small, but I still enjoyed using it. A size between this and the original Cloud would have been perfect for me.

Priced at $95.99 (10% off with code ELO), it's a great deal, especially considering the high-quality PAW3950 sensor and included 8K dongle.
